Free online eye test for proofreaders
Earlier in this blog, and in The No-Nonsense Proofreading Course itself, I pointed out how important it is to look after your eyes. A proof reader’s eyes are his or her greatest asset (unless, of course you’re a Braille proof reader – and, yes, there is such a thing).

It goes without saying, then, that regular eye tests are crucial. However, we live in a busy world. And if your proofreading activities are a means of generating a second income stream, then ‘busy’ can soon descend into ‘chaotic’. So, it isn’t always possible to tear yourself away from whatever it is you’re doing in order to take that vital eye test.

Thankfully, you can now ‘self-test’ your eyes. Just pop along to this website and follow the simple instructions. Job done.

If, having taken the test, you have any doubts whatsoever about the strength of your eyesight, don’t hesitate to get in touch with your optician.
